good companion guide while reading Danielas the description states, this book is good for group discussions and as a companion guide while reading through Daniel. It is not a well developed commentary or a study of the book of Daniel this islike a booklet.short but comprehensive enough as a beginner s guide through Daniel.

John MacArthur s study guide to the book of Daniel was insightful and thought provoking I liked that he included not only the Bible passages we were studying in each chapter but also the annotations he included which were invaluable to keeping straight what was happening in the passages particularly in the prophetic material Probably because its source material is so difficult and hard to understand, the book could be a bit dense at times, but overall it was a good road map and I feel that John MacArthur s study guide to the book of Daniel was insightful and thought provoking I liked that he included not only the Bible passages we were studying in each chapter but also the annotations he included which were invaluable to keeping straight what was happening in the passages particularly in the prophetic material Probably because its source material is so difficult and hard to understand, the book could be a bit dense at times, but overall it was a good road map and I feel that I understand the book of Daniel much better after our women s group read through it with this guide than I did before Which isn t saying a whole lot As a group, we kept circling back to the take home message from the book nothing that is happening is happening without His knowledge and consent and God is sovereign and in control

This is a decent Bible Study on Daniel The most helpful thing that MacArthur does is defining words and phrases to the side of the passage as you read But, the questions do not honestly get you very deep into the passage.
