This is actually a rating of 35 stars because in the end I just cannot rate it merely a simple 3 I won this book via a Goodreads Giveaway; and as I do with all giveaway books that I'm lucky enough to acuire I ALWAYS make sure to give them a written review as opposed to just a star rating BUT as I'm unable to write the complete review at this moment I HAD to at least clarify that this is a THREE POINT FIVE rating before listing this book as 'Read' ensuring that people don't mistake it for a simple 3 stars Cool Cool ROCK ON Jen from uebec 0

The writing was simple and straight forward easy to follow and a pleasure to read The narrative was a little lightweight and may have been interesting if I hadn't read Burning Down the Haus Punk Rock Revolution and the Fall of the Berlin Wall previously which was alot like this with a much exceptional story

2 stars for the first 200 pages of the book and 4 stars for the rest The first 200 pages could have been condensed greatly—it was a lot of reminiscing without much build up The last third of the book had tension and introduced people that I would’ve loved to read about like Lotte but were not very developed and had very little page time Not a bad read but I think this book had potential than what I got out of it

Loved this book The author is only 2 years older than I am so I could realy relate to him So interesting to know how different it was growing up in a Communist country Makes me especially glad to be in America And like the author my husband is extremely knowledgeable about rock and roll so that was fun also Definitely a great book
