If you are looking for a quick survival guide for the complicated moments of childhood and parenting, I highly recommend this book I feel like the authors eavesdropped on the parenting conversations I have in all of my friendships and then solved all of our problems in this book. This book does exactly what it says it does in a simple and organized format with a beautiful layout If you are looking for an in depth look at child development or developmental psychology, this is not the book for yo If you are looking for a quick survival guide for the complicated moments of childhood and parenting, I highly recommend this book I feel like the authors eavesdropped on the parenting conversations I have in all of my friendships and then solved all of our problems in this book. This book does exactly what it says it does in a simple and organized format with a beautiful layout If you are looking for an in depth look at child development or developmental psychology, this is not the book for you It is exactly what it claims to be This would make a great gift for any parent to be It will likely take a special spot on their bookshelf and be referenced many times One of my favorite quotes was, We can never go wrong by reaching first for empathy We will all be better parents if we take this to heart The publisher provided an ARC through Netgalley I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts

Read through ages 4 5Loved the differences in family member color multiracial kids are definitely depicted , but they missed an opportunity to show differences in size body type of parents and when both parents were shown with kids, it was always a Mom and a Dad with no room for ambiguity
