Anytime I have the chance to read another book by Beth Carpenter, I jump at the chance Her characters are always well defined and warm including the state of Alaska which is a supporting character to this series and appears warm hearted in spite of the frigid temps The breathtaking scenery is easy to grasp hold of with the imagination, and it only fuels my lifegoal of visiting Alaska.Another thing I love about Carpenter s stories is the way her love of dogs shines through in the furry sup Anytime I have the chance to read another book by Beth Carpenter, I jump at the chance Her characters are always well defined and warm including the state of Alaska which is a supporting character to this series and appears warm hearted in spite of the frigid temps The breathtaking scenery is easy to grasp hold of with the imagination, and it only fuels my lifegoal of visiting Alaska.Another thing I love about Carpenter s stories is the way her love of dogs shines through in the furry supporting characters she includes in each novel In An Alaskan Proposal, Tal and Boomer and their adorable friendship completely stole the show Carpenter gives dogs these two in particular the kind of human like personalities that true dog owners know their pets possess and I grinned besottedly every time Tal Boomer were on the page.Speaking of grinning besottedly Leith I am not an outdoorsperson in any way, shape or especially form, yet Leith had me swooning all the same From his can t help himself dazzling grin to his big heart to his love for his family including his precocious niece Emma to the way he teaches kids first aid, I can easily see why Sabrina fell for him And, in spite of her 1st season of Friends version of Rachel Greene outward appearance, there s a lotto Sabrina on the inside and I can easily see why Leith falls so hard for her in spite of himself In fact, Sabrina became my favorite character in the story besides the dogs, of course for her resilient spirit and determined attitude.Bottom Line Carpenter weaves another compelling story in An Alaskan Proposal the setting, the characters, the writing style all perfectly on point I loved the banter between Leith and Sabrina, their developing friendship, and those kisses Tal Boomer absolutely delighted me, and I hope we get to spendtime with them in Volta s story perhaps It s always great to visit with old friends from previous books in the series, too, but this book works nicely as a standalone if you re just starting here Perfect for fans of Dani Pettrey s Alaskan Courage series or Susan May Warren s Montana Rescue series I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book first seen at Reading Is My SuperPower

Sabrina Did you know that there is silicon cookware for camping Yep, there is, and it collapses for easy storage and to fit in your backpack Apparently, I need to get out .So, the story has many fabulous characters, and Ms Carpenter does a great job of showing how flawed and yet loving each of them can be Sabrina Bell Sabrina is one of those people who look put together and to some very girly You know the type perfect nails, hair never out of place, wears fancy clothes and snobby However, if you thought that you would be very wrong.Although, Sabrina is reserved, as she was hurt before and that has affected her life She is also extremely money conscious and a hard worker Sabrina also has a big heart which you don t see until you get through the facade that she projects I loved seeing her allow herself to grow with Leith and his friends.Sabina has taken a job with an outfitting company, and they have placed her in the Anchorage, Alaska store to train The only problem is she doesn t know anything about the outdoors and to advance she needs to learn everything like now This is where Leith comes in Leith Jordan Leif works for a company that teaches survival training skills, along with first aid and many other things He is a great outdoorsman and bachelor The last thing that he wants is a woman in his life You see, Leith was also hurt by his ex wife Leith grew up in Anchorage, his family lives there, and all of his friends are there He is adamant that this is where he will spend his life. There are lots of things that I like about Leith, like the way his smile lights up his face, that children are drawn to him, his love of animals, and loyalty and willingness to help his family. There was only one flaw that I found with Leith, and that was that he was judgmental Well, at first anyway Random things that I liked about the story The dogs, Boomer, and Tal They have such personalities, and they are a big part of the story Learning about outdoor gear Walter and his mustache He is such a cool boss Fishing for Kings and tackling the fish That Leith didn t just take Sabrina camping and hiking all of the time, he took her to museums and exhibits in town too The Jordan family They are all so sweet, especially Emma The reindeer farm and wedding venue Last but not least, the proposal There are a couple of things about this, but you ll have to read the book 5 Stars for An Alaskan Proposal by Beth Carpenter My rating for An Alaskan Proposal by Bet Carpenter is five stars The story was fabulously written, and descriptions of the scenery were superb It makes me want to visit Alaska evenThe characters all had their quirks and traits.I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a great romance Other Books in the Series The Alaskan Catch by Beth CarpenterSeries
