I am familiar with the inner work, but I like how comprehensive this book was It didnt just include inner child work, but also work with your inner teen, young adult, your feminine and masculine, your darkness and your light It islike a workbook because it has ton of exercises and meditation But frankly, I feel I would rather have an audio book version since I don t have time to record these exercises for myself Though, I believe I can find them on author s website But honestly, I dis I am familiar with the inner work, but I like how comprehensive this book was It didnt just include inner child work, but also work with your inner teen, young adult, your feminine and masculine, your darkness and your light It islike a workbook because it has ton of exercises and meditation But frankly, I feel I would rather have an audio book version since I don t have time to record these exercises for myself Though, I believe I can find them on author s website But honestly, I dislike that Why do authors don t include audio links to all the exercises in the book Make it easier for readers Just a suggestion, but I hope someome does it.I loved the journaling exercises, they might seem simple, but powerful.Since I have got this book from NetGalley, I struggled because of the spelling Some letters in a word were omitted, but I dismissed it while rating this book I honestly don t understand why this book has low ratings here Just the questions for journaling exercises are enough to like this book But if you don t do them, of course it wont work They are quite revealing and healing and I feel if you are self help junkie who reads this type of books but never takes action, you might not like this book since it doesnt seem like anything new I suspect no one who picks up this wull be new to inner work, but I might be wrong But doing these exercises made me appreciate the book .I wish we got to see some deeper client session to learn better Margaret Paul did this in her inner child books and I appreciated that, but I must say I like Abby s voice in this book It is just so simple to follow

A lot of words are missing letters at the beginning or in the middle At some point it starts hindering on the message you re trying to read The message is concentrated on loving yourself, being able to say no, when you say yes out of politeness, to be truthful to yourself, to do what makes you happy Personally, I didn t find this book beneficial for myself.

I just finished reading this book, this was the complete work I was looking for I feel really grateful.I can see myself as beautiful now I couldn t before as I didn t accepted my dark side The chapter about my dark side was the one most healing for me I realized I didn t accept that part of me, No I m not a demon kinda stuff Letting my inner dark side wreck the place, be a pervert, a slut, be violent, needy, loud, smash people s face, destroy everything while observing it compassionate I just finished reading this book, this was the complete work I was looking for I feel really grateful.I can see myself as beautiful now I couldn t before as I didn t accepted my dark side The chapter about my dark side was the one most healing for me I realized I didn t accept that part of me, No I m not a demon kinda stuff Letting my inner dark side wreck the place, be a pervert, a slut, be violent, needy, loud, smash people s face, destroy everything while observing it compassionately, was the most liberating experience for me My dark side is a part of me that needs love too.I now say to other people that they re beautiful, and they tell me that I m beautiful The best compliment I ever received is You are beautiful Your energy is beautiful too I was so moved The chapter about my inner teenager was as well one of the most healing for me I didn t know about my inner teenager So I worked so far with my inner 15 years old He came out to me as gay, he was so angry We had such a deep, moving conversation He cried a lot and I was there for him and listen to him I only came out to my parents when I was 27 and it was so difficult and I had a lot of fears of them not liking me any, so I m glad my inner teenager came out at 15 I told him all the things I wished my parents would have told me, like I love you no matter what and There is nothing you can do that will make me stop loving you I have tears in my eyes when I write this I loved the divine feminine chapter I realized I was criticizing others a lot, because I felt I should mother them I m a guy All the guys at work throwing their feelings sometimes in the room, I needed to tell them to take care of their feelings No I don t need to do that any I feelsafe and boundaried now thanks to that healing chapter I m looking forward to working on the It is safe to relax exercice.I m a man so in the divine masculine chapter I realized that I created in my mind this perfect man that I should be, but I could never live up to him, and that made me feel unhappy as I always compared myself a lot to that perfect man When I let go of that and just focused on being the best me that I can be in the moment, that released a great deal of stress for me Thank you The inner child work I was already familiar about I loved the exercice about working on my ability to say no I can say noeasily andlovingly now Still working on it.In the young adult chapter, I really loved the heal your broken heart exercice I feel safer to go experience deeper feelings in relationships now that I know I can heal my heart anytime.I give a big thank you for the author s healing work, I ve been joining some of her healing sessions and used her recordings on her website I can empower myself now I took my power back from people and things which I learned in her other book How to Be Well.I keep my energy beautiful This is all I ever wanted I can go shine my light brighter now.Blessings

I have mixed feelings about this book The concept is a familiar one with a spiritual twist and perhaps it s because I ve been in group therapy for a while now that none of it seemed very groundbreaking or new There is encouragement of journaling including sample questions to write about that can help you figure things out and she gives description of what inner child means which I thought was nice simply because that always feels like buzz words to me as opposed to something tangible and I have mixed feelings about this book The concept is a familiar one with a spiritual twist and perhaps it s because I ve been in group therapy for a while now that none of it seemed very groundbreaking or new There is encouragement of journaling including sample questions to write about that can help you figure things out and she gives description of what inner child means which I thought was nice simply because that always feels like buzz words to me as opposed to something tangible and real She goes on to have chapters on your inner teen , inner young adult , inner woman ect ect They have have exercises and in addition there s a list of mantras you can say to remind yourself to forgive yourself for past mistakes, to be kind to yourself, you re not responsible for other s actions, ect, ect In the introduction there s mention of the theory that emotional trauma can affect your health Her exact words were something about how emotions will wrap themselves around organs and affect how they operate within your body This is a concept that held interest for me as I do think our emotional being will affect our physical being Do I believe it to the extent mentioned in this book Not sure but there are some interesting exercises to work on it.There s some meditations some of which remind me of the various mindful meditations that can be found on any mediation app body scan, breathing exercises, etc to help you envision your inner self to bring awareness to inner trauma in order to heal it.If this all sounds too woo woo to you it probably is For me I thought it had some good information about journaling and how to utilize it to help one deal with past trauma The mediations were interesting and I think if I was brand new to all of this I would have gottenout of it One note There are a LOT of spelling and grammar errors in this advance copy Hopefully by the time it s actually published the publisher will have edited it Thanks to NetGalley for the advance copy

The author has beautifully guide the readers step by step to heal themselves like peeling onion s layers, one at a time I often complete a book in hours or days but this book made me savour its chapters slowly and taking time out to do the healing exercises out of love for myself I grew to like myselfand started falling in love in me I began to appreciate people better, not those who wanted to own me but those willing to fly with me to soar higher, work to be better versions of ourselve The author has beautifully guide the readers step by step to heal themselves like peeling onion s layers, one at a time I often complete a book in hours or days but this book made me savour its chapters slowly and taking time out to do the healing exercises out of love for myself I grew to like myselfand started falling in love in me I began to appreciate people better, not those who wanted to own me but those willing to fly with me to soar higher, work to be better versions of ourselves and be happier in the smallest things.Truly grateful for this book

I generally like the idea of the book, spiritual healing is something we could all really learn and make time to do The cover is stunning however I really struggled with the book due to many spelling errors I hope this will be fixed before publication to make the book perfect I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review Thank you to Netgalley and the author for allowing me to read this book.

This book focuses on exercises, journaling, and mediation to help us heal our inner child and inner teen These methods have been well documented for their ability to help those struggling with depression, anxiety, social disorders, just to name a few I think sometimes it can be hard to take something so simple as journaling seriously, but it has been proven that the act of touching pen to paper and writing our thoughts out is exponentiallybeneficial than just contemplating or thinking th This book focuses on exercises, journaling, and mediation to help us heal our inner child and inner teen These methods have been well documented for their ability to help those struggling with depression, anxiety, social disorders, just to name a few I think sometimes it can be hard to take something so simple as journaling seriously, but it has been proven that the act of touching pen to paper and writing our thoughts out is exponentiallybeneficial than just contemplating or thinking things out in our head Highly recommended
