My thoughts This book has the remnants of a great set of video games in it s making As I was reading through this one it made me think of Animal Crossing Mario and Zelda a Link to the Past If you ve had the pleasure of playing any of those games you ll see the reminders of them throughout this book.Super Rabbit Boy needs to beat King Viking again Only this time he needs certain weapons in order to do so He ends up going on a super long quest in order to finally be able to fight up against King Viking.I really enjoyed this book It is a great addition to the series I really like how it pulls in the aspect of many different games and helps to bring those games to book I look forward to reading the next book when it is released in the future.

The boys in my class love this series and so does my son I read this book with my 7 year old son and it only took us about 20 minutes to get through it It s picture book than chapter book and is perfect for reluctant readers, especially kids who like video games because the pictures all look like they come straight out of a video game The storyline in this book goes off on one side adventure after another We started to lose track of what Super Bunny needed to get for all of the characters after awhile which made us laugh Luckily everything gets resolved in the end.

Read this tonight with my 4.5 year old who is big into make believe video games right now Everything we do is levels and moving to the next one There s not a whole lot of plot here but I can see why it captured my son s attention and would capture the attention of those new to chapter books especially interested in video games Colourful images draw the reader in and the text is just the right amount for the target audience not too overwhelming Elementary school libraries should definitely have these.

This book is short and I could see why kids would read it based on the video game idea However, this did not appeal to me and my daughter thinks it s pretty cool I did like the aspect of the questions at the back of the book.

  5. Sharie says:

appeals to gamer childok to read mid series not in orderdemonstrates how much time gaming eats up
