Excellent reference and I appreciate that the authors went out of their comfort zones to learn and discuss genetics and biological processes. However, I would have appreciated it more if they had reviewed the converging work coming from school psychology and school neuropsychology. Examining the work of Flanagan, Ortiz, and Alfonso regarding Cross Battery Assessment and the Dual Discrepancy/Consistency model of PSW, Steven Feifer's work on dyslexia, which Miller & Maricle's work would strengthen this book as a reference for clinicians making these diagnoses. The ADHD chapter could be strengthened by reviewing the work of Affective Neuroscience, such as Schore, Davidson, and Siegel, as well as the Neurobiology of trauma work of Van Der Kolk and others.

Excited to find a new book for my students to read. Pennington is accessible and thorough clearly explaining the growth in the field in the last decade.
