I am an immunologist so I m clearly not the target audience for this book, but I was hoping for a bitThis book is odd in that it reads like a never ending science review article The attempts to provide insight and advice are redundant exercise, eat leafy greens, limit red meat and dairy advice anyone who cares should have picked up on by now The book also has a tendency to list bacterial species without going into any detail about what is known about them A table or introduction to I am an immunologist so I m clearly not the target audience for this book, but I was hoping for a bitThis book is odd in that it reads like a never ending science review article The attempts to provide insight and advice are redundant exercise, eat leafy greens, limit red meat and dairy advice anyone who cares should have picked up on by now The book also has a tendency to list bacterial species without going into any detail about what is known about them A table or introduction to bacterial families would have been helpful A table was provided defining immunological terms and cell types, a similar one would have been useful for bacteria I was looking for a book to recommend to friends or family wanting to learnabout their microbiomes, but I m afraid this is too boring for any of them to finish
