Cherchi is struggling to move on Luka has learned to resent his gifts Together they just might find the passion to heal their ravaged hearts in this moving paranormal mm romance The author has created a hidden world inside our own that exists right alongside humans this fascinating world is full of interesting elements and the intriguing shifters have some uniue and differing characteristics as well Cherchi and Luka captivated me from the very beginning of their story and I can’t wait to find out what happens next in the Children of Shairobi world especially as it seems fate has a lot in store for them NOTE This review is based on the revised and re edited version published by Totally Bound Pride PublishingSee my full review at

This is the second in an mm shifter series that I'm enjoying and Cherchi is one of the Rune Fang a legendary shapeshifting race He was stripped of his shifter magic after being attacked by vicious demons known as Kaga and has since felt crippled and weary of life The Rune Fang tribe are visited by a group of ocelot shifters looking for a healer and among them is Luka an empath Both men are young inexperienced and troubled and they feel an immediate pull toward one another Their growing affection forces them to face old hurts and new dangersAlthough this is a shifter romance it's also very much a fantasy novel The mythology is carefully and lovingly built up through this and the previous novel and I still feel like there are many layers to unfold The legend behind the Rune Fang and their fellow shifters is a mix of shamanistic American Indian and New Age beliefs Contrary to many stories where the shifters are aggressive and violent these heroes are peace loving and very in tune with the Earth Although they are strong and fierce when neededI loved Cherchi and Luka Luka is such a bright shining soul and I could really believe that Cherchi couldn't resist him They are curious about lovemaking and eagerly come together to try out their long held fantasies Luka who is from South America has a strong accent and can't pronounce Cherchi's name He calls him 'Cheery' which made me go awww every time They are just so cute togetherWe also get a POV from Cole who was one of the heroes in the first book But it doesn't overwhelm the romance and Cole is still on a very interesting journey of his own that affects all the shifters so I really enjoyed his parts as wellThe book is marred by some mistakes not sure if it's editing or formatting in the last 20% Appraising instead of Praising Relevence instead of Reverence A handful of wrong words like that It stopped my reading as I tried to sort out what the sentence meant but it wasn't enough to stop me from enjoying the book I really loved it and I can't wait till the next one in the series which I'm hoping might feature the strange and aloof StormStart the series with book 1 Primal Desire

Original Blog Post Review Wild Beauty Children of Shairobi #2 by Lupa GarneauReviewed by fadiaMy Rating 4 of 5 StarsWhat an interesting read; there's an old saying it's those who feels it that knows it In Cherchi's case he has to now learn to live with being less than what he once wasCherchi one of the members of Rune fang shifters is attacked by the Kaga with his friend out in the woods Cherchi determines he is capable of handling the situation and couragesly takes on the Kaga while his friend goes for assistance Unfortunately Cherchi's determination is not enough and the Kaga leaves him broken in body spirit and magicWhen Cherchi is at his lowest in comes Luka an Ocelot empath who is able to pull Cherchi out of his state of despair Luka is from South American and could I tell you that his accent and endearments made this book all steamier The relationship between Luka and Cherchi is not instant love which is the good thing with this series The shifter has an idea the individual is special to them but they are not enslaved by the need to bond This allowed Luka and Cherchi time learn of each other to trust and share their inner most secrets with one another Like Cherchi Luka also has a story to tell in every increment and milestone of their relationship they are both able to purge their darkness The one conclusion that I have to come to in reading this series is that one of the biggest mistakes that was made was with the divisionsegregation of the different shifters races How this happened is something we will find out in future readings After all shifters came from the came from “the mother and gray man It appears as the story continue and shifter breeds and gifts of magic and modern technology are incorporated to make the shifter world better
